Tools I Couldn’t Live Without as a Digital Marketer

5 platforms that make my life so much easier for digital marketing

During my 7 years in the industry, I have used hundreds of tools that promise to be the best on the market. But more often than not, I’ve found myself getting tangled in disorganised layouts, inefficient features and huge price tags.

However, I’m now in a place where my processes feel more seamless than ever before and it’s because of these 5 tools I use:

Agorapulse - Social Scheduling and Reporting

It feels like I have tried and tested every social media scheduling platform on the market. I’ve used Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Later, Buffer and many more to try and find the tool that works best for me.

For ease of use, organisation and extra features such as social listening and reporting, I have settled on Agorapulse. Although it can be quite pricey if you need a lot of team members and social profiles, I find that it makes scheduling much quicker and easier than other options.

Google Workspace - Admin

With Google Workspace, I have everything I need in one place. I’ve created an email address using my website’s domain and at the click of a button, I can jump to Google My Business, Google Ads and my Drive.

Being as organised as myself, my Google Workspace account is a dream come true.

CapCut - Video Editing

Trying to gain experience in video editing is a tricky business. Tools on offer can be so fiddly, too basic or super expensive to sign up for.

CapCut makes video editing so easy. It can be used on desktop or mobile and it’s endless features allow you to create the content you want without it taking hours of frustration to do so.

Asana - Organisation

I have organised my tasks in an Excel spreadsheet for as long as I can remember, adding new tabs for each week and turning a column green when the work was complete. It was basic but I was fine with that.

Out of curiosity, I set up an Asana account to see what the fuss was all about and now I know I’ll never look back. It can take some time to get used to, but once you’ve set out your tasks in a way that works best for you (lists, boards, calendars) you’ll manage to stay on track for all your deadlines.

Starling - Finance

Starling was first recommended to me by one of my clients and I absolutely love it. It doesn’t cost anything and it allows you to keep track of your spending, saving spaces and tax receipts.

Their customer service is also incredibly fast and efficient, so if you ever have any issues with your account, there’s no frustration of having to visit a physical branch.
