Looking for some inspiration on how to get focused and stay productive? Here’s how…
If you’re struggling to remain consistent with marketing your business, it’s time to be honest with yourself. Do you not have enough time to do it? Are you unsure of what needs to be done? Or have you just lost your marketing mojo?
If it’s the latter, keep reading to discover how you can find it again and, more importantly, make sure it sticks around.
Focus Your Efforts 👀
Instead of trying to share an Instagram reel every day, two newsletters a week and a retargeting ad when you’re not sure what you’re doing, focus your efforts.
Take a look at which platforms are most successful when it comes to achieving your business goals and centre your attention there. For example, if you notice that most of your sales are being made through your email marketing, put a majority of your effort into that rather than trying to start a TikTok account.
Avoid Burnout 🔥
If you can feel yourself getting stressed, take a break. Your creative juices won’t flow if you’re trying to force them to come from a place that feels uninspired and frustrated.
Burnout will happen if you’re expecting to change the world when you don’t have the time or energy to do it. So, make sure that you’re feeling organised and motivated in the other aspects of your life so that you’re in a good place to tackle your marketing.
Set Manageable Tasks ✅
Instead of trying to do too much too soon, set yourself manageable tasks that are realistically achievable in the timeframe you have.
For example, set aside 45 minutes of focused time to create five social media posts for the week. Then, have 15 minutes away from your screen doing something totally different - like skipping or singing along to Beyonce.
Check Your Insights 📊
You’ll soon lose your marketing mojo if you feel like all your efforts are for nothing. To avoid this, make sure that you’re regularly checking Google Analytics and your digital platforms’ insights.
This will show you what performs well for your business and therefore what you should make more of, as well as what is ineffective so that you don’t waste your energy on duplicating unsuccessful content.
Consider Outsourcing Assistance 💻
If you find yourself unable to discover any kind of marketing mojo, it might be worth considering outsourcing this task.
By rushing to put out content that isn’t in line with your business goals, or not sharing anything at all, you’re doing more harm than good. So why not work with someone who actually enjoys what they do and has a track record of proven results? (Yes, I’m shamelessly talking about me).
