Create high-performing emails by A/B testing your content
If you’re already utilising A/B testing for your email marketing, keep scrolling. The email gods are looking down on you with pride.
If not, take a seat because you need to learn how this process could benefit your business and create your most effective messaging to date.
What is A/B Testing?
A/B testing is the process of sending out two emails with slightly different variations to see which one gains more opens/clicks (you'll choose just one of these as a focus for each test).
Both emails are sent out to approximately 10% of your database each, then, whichever is more efficient at achieving your pre-set criteria (e.g. more opens, more clicks) will be sent to the remaining 80%.
Then, you can make sure that all future emails use the winning variant that works best with your audience.
Examples of What to Test:
Add emojis into your subject line
Hint to a discount code inside the email
Change your 'from name' to “SALE” when relevant
Use the person's name to add personalisation
Increase the number of CTA buttons throughout
